Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum

Get a history lesson like no other at the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum. Learn all about the city of Vallejo, California along with the United States Naval Shipyard at Mare Island. Located in the old City Hall, the 25,000-square-foot museum features a wealth of diverse exhibitions, both permanent and traveling, that are highlighted by fascinating artifacts. In addition, the museum offers group tours and sponsors a myriad of concerts, lectures, and recitals.

12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday

$5 adults; $3 seniors & students; children under 12 free

Tickets are required to enter the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum but they are very reasonably priced. Adults are $5.00, seniors and students are $3.00, and children 12 years and younger are free.


The Saginaw Gallery is home to a permanent exhibit on Mare Island and U.S. Navy history while the South Gallery features a permanent exhibit on the history of the City of Vallejo.


Is there a parking garage?

The Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum does not have a parking garage. There is only street parking.

Is this attraction good for children?
